On the 28th of August I had the pleasure of being invited to the New Generation Fashion Showcase at New Zealand Fashion Week. I am all about emerging designers and love love love seeing new talent on the runway. As always the emerging designers did not disappoint and delivered fresh, clean and unique ideas.
I especially loved how each designer had a different theme and way of designing, this presented that fashion is all about individual expression. The two designers that resonated very well with my personal style were ITZME and Nomsa Mabuto.
What caught my eye about the ITZME collection was how it was a fusion of tailored fits and street way. Each piece from the collection was a refreshing representation of fashion and styling.
Apart from the print, what I loved the most about Nomsa's Mabuto's collection was how cohesive it was. Using similar elements in each piece, the collection was what I described as modern day femme fatale: fierce, powerful and sexy!
Viva emerging designers!
