United we stand, divided we fall. . .
Today was absolutely beautiful, even as I write about the experience I have goosebumps all over my body. As I reflect on the magic that happened today the message that I walked away was: this is what happens when you come together and work together. Such a beautiful afternoon full of expression and power. Every single person that shared something, danced and drummed was full of power as they shared their story about acculturation, identity and representation. It is safe to say that by sharing a part of themselves they transformed a public space. This wouldn't have been possible without the participation of every single individual (Comfort, Adorate, Janina, Fathe, Munashe, Elijah, Will, Nadine, Kristi, Elsa, Pip and ), Te Karanga Trust, KFM and Auckland City Council for empowering the work. I could go on about the greatness but I will let the footage do the talking.
