To celebrate our one year anniversary we will be hosting a 3 day exhibition in association with Te Karanga Trust. The exhibition will be a chance to celebrate the creativity of Africa and all those who are creatively inspired by the continent.
The exhibition will be a pop-up store with a twist. You will be able to purchase some unique clothing, jewellery and art from some talented folk just in time for summer and Christmas. Along with being able to shop the exhibition, you will be able to learn a little bit about the African continent through art and the different elements. We will keep the rest a surprise.
You can pop into the gallery any time from 3 November (Monday) 12.00pm till 6 November (Thursday) 6.00pm. We look forward to having a chat with you about the art work, explaining the design process of the clothing and jewellery and overall having a laugh with you.
Items will range from $10.00 - $100.00 and a percentage of the proceedings will be donated to the Africa on My Sleeve project and the Te Karanga Trust. We appreciate your support and can't wait to reveal the exhibitors and share their creativity with you.

* Cradle of Creativity Pop-Up Exhibition is a prelude to the Cradle of Creativity showcase that is being hosted at The Opera House, Wellington. Cradle of creativity is a multi-faceted showcase encapsulating the spirit of our designer’s creativity. The mission is to present fashion as a form of art and designs that capture the essence and spirit of Africa. This results in a range of garments that are breathtakingly constructed from an extraordinary array of materials.
Afrika on My Sleeve is a multi-platform online social enterprise that combines digital storytelling and content with third culture narratives, self-care as a form of resistance and empowerment.
