L FOR LUCIE started in 2010 when Lucie Sutichunta : founder and designer of the label graduated from Auckland University of Technology in Fashion Design with one show in her hand, AUT Rookie Show.
Lucie Sutichunta was also selected as a young emerging designer from Showroom22 to present her graduated final collection "Siamese Sweetheart" from November'10 to May'11. One of her statement crop top appeared in Remix Magazine Issue:69
In 2010 she was interning with Trelise Cooper and Karen Walker.
In 2011 she was one of the finalists in few fashion competitions including iD International Emerging Design Awards that held in Dunedin, Westpac Young Fashion Designer, Westfield Style Pasifika Multicultural Category (Highly Commended Award) and that year she got an internship with Jeremy Scott which saw her in Los Angeles. In LA she assisted with Jeremy Scott's S/S12 Collection "Lust in The Dust" at New York Fashion Week and assisted with Adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott‘s fall 2012 collection.
L FOR LUCIE transfers Lucie's message from her own vision and point of view towards her childhood memories and whimsical curiosity by expressing vivid colour palettes, fun elements of proportion from oversized and unusual loose silhouettes.
