When did you learn how to sew?
I started by hand sewing when I was at school in Zimbabwe at Shamva School. Then I upgraded and learnt how to sew with a machine when I was a year 10. I learnt machine basics in my Materials Technology Class.
Did you always know that you were going to study fashion?
After high school I went to Auckland University to study Psychology. I had dreams of becoming a psychologist but I could no longer pretend that I loved psychology. My passion was fashion and I decided to leave psychology and move on.
When it comes to fashion which designers inspire you?
I really love couture designs and admire Giorgio Armani. In terms of fellow African designers I look up to Jewel by Lisa. If I had to pick a designer to collaborate with I would say Jewel by Lisa in a heartbeat.
